COURSE OVERVIEW
This is a part time course with students attending for 3 days per week enabling the student to work alongside their study. It is designed to offer an introduction to musical theatre and focuses on all three elements of singing, dance and acting. This course will equip you with the fundamental elements of musical theatre. As GAMTA provides triple threat training, all three elements of acting, singing and dance have an equal focus and are equally weighted.

Acting 1: Developing acting skills using Stanislavsky method.
Jazz for Musical Theatre 1: Developing the technical skills in Jazz Dance
Movement: Developing physical skills using your body as actor and storyteller
Singing Skills 1: Developing sound vocal technique, appropriate repertoire and finding your own voice
Performance 1: Performing in fully staged musicals to public audiences
Vocal Techniques 1: Developing your voice as an actor and storyteller
Tap: Developing tap dance skills and technique as required for musical theatre
Graded Unit 1: How to prepare songs and scenes for audition and performance
Professional Development for Actors: Learning about the practicalities of the industry; audition technique and protocols, getting an agent, working with casting directors, how to make showreels, preparing for auditions, tax responsibilities
Score Interpretation for Musical Theatre: Learning how to read a interpret a score for audition purposes.
